Arsenal vs Dortmund 2-3 — Friendly

Dortmund take the Emirates Cup home

The Emirates Cup format called for a shootout whatever the result, which makes this evening awkward to tell. Arsenal lost the match and won the shootout 5-4, and Dortmund still walked off with the trophy. On the pitch, Inacio caught everyone out on seven minutes and Karetsas made it two on the half hour. Nwaneri pulled one back on 54 minutes, Gadou answered four minutes later, and the Gyokeres penalty on 69 minutes was not enough to get us level. A few days before Cardiff, it is that opening half hour that leaves you thinking.
