Official: Karl Hein leaves Arsenal for Werder Bremen

The Estonian goalkeeper (24) had been on loan at Werder Bremen since August 2025. The German club triggered their purchase option on May 22, 2026, ending eight years at Arsenal in which he made just one first-team appearance. Werder plan to use him as their first-choice keeper for 2026/27 following Mio Backhaus's move to Freiburg. Arsenal's second official summer departure, after Jakub Kiwior.
