Arsenal vs Betis 1-3 — Friendly

A first defeat of the summer, and Arteta did not enjoy it

Arteta admitted afterwards that his squad was furious, and nobody in Dublin felt like arguing. In front of fifty thousand people at the Aviva Stadium, Kepa missed his punch from a corner on nine minutes and Riquelme took advantage, before Deossa drove one in from thirty yards into the top corner. Hincapie headed one back on 32 minutes, from a corner as well, and that gave us some air until a stray Havertz pass let Fornals kill the mood before the break. We conceded three in a half, which is the sort of evening you would rather have in pre-season.
